The point of view on flat feet and the admissibility of military service with this diagnosis almost completely coincide in all three countries. It is necessary to understand the intricacies in which cases flat feet are not taken into the army.

Important!It is advisable to pass the necessary examination from the orthopedist to the draft commission, so that the diagnosis is already standing and has been confirmed.

With what flat-footedness do not take in the army

Despite the fact that excessive loads and wearing of the wrong footwear, which does not correspond to all orthopedic standards, can significantly harm a person with deformity of the foot, with some types of disease in the army still have to serve.

In general, there are several degrees of this disease, depending on the degree and pathologies that develop due to deformation of the arch of the foot, the expiration category is displayed:

  1. With flat feet of 1st degree, conscripts usually get the "good" category without any restrictions. The first degree of this disease rarely has severe manifestations, often the patient himself writes off the pain and heaviness in his legs after physical exertion for severe fatigue.
  2. When flat feet are 2 degrees of a person do not call for service, if deformation of the arch of the foot provokes the development of other pathologies, for example, arthritis, osteochondrosis of the lumbar spine and others. At the same time, a young person gets the category of "not good in peacetime" or "restricted". If this degree of deformation is not complicated by anything, the conscript is waiting for service in the army.
  3. With flat feet of grade 3, conscripts usually get the category "not good", at this stage of the disease there are almost always different pathologies. In addition, such patients often need surgery to correct the deformity.

Longitudinal flatfoot or transverse flat feet revealed in the draftee, usually does not play a role. The main thing that draft commissions pay attention to is the presence of complications related to deformation of the foot. Therefore, when passing the commission, it is necessary to indicate exactly the developed pathologies and disturbances in the normal functioning of the musculoskeletal system.

Important!To get a respite from the army, the diagnosis must stand officially.

Why do not take the flat foot in the army

In fact, even with 1 degree of the disease should be as much as possible to limit physical exertion on sick legs, wear shoes solely with orthopedic insoles, do special therapeutic gymnastics and massage, otherwise the disease will progress. If, at a given degree, the army is still taken, although this can do harm, at later stages the service can become hazardous to health.

At 2 and 3 degrees, developed complications, often require constant monitoring of the doctor and procedures, without which the patient's condition will deteriorate. External manifestations of flatfoot also do not give a full function, the patient greatly changes the gait, with minimal physical exertion, pain in the legs, it is no longer possible to wear rough, uncomfortable shoes.

What surveys are needed

In order to receive a respite or full exemption from the army, the conscript should be examined by an orthopedic doctor. Visual inspection and the presence of complaints is not enough, requires several compulsory studies, including:

  • X-ray, the study is performed in a standing position under load, then a description is required, this is done by a radiologist;
  • measurement of the angle and some other parameters of the arch of the foot, which help to establish the degree of flatfoot;
  • in some cases a computed tomography is prescribed.

Perhaps the appointment of a number of other studies, if the deformation provokes the development of other pathologies. After all the basic examinations, a correct diagnosis is made, which helps to get a respite from the army, then a treatment plan is appointed.

In general, the army is not taken with flat feet, if it is complicated by other diseases or is so strongly pronounced that it interferes with normal functioning. Therefore, during the commission it is important to identify not only the deformity, but the accompanying pathologies. To verify for sure whether the army is called with a flatfoot, it is necessary to open the relevant documents.
