The medicine is produced in vials with a dispenser and is used for intranasal irrigation of the mucous membrane of the nasal concha. It is used in allergic rhinitis, when a person is concerned about stuffiness and discharge, tearing, sneezing and other symptoms of hypersensitivity.

The main active substance of this medication is fluticasone.

Form of issue and composition

Nazarel is available in the form of a nasal spray of white color. The suspension is packed in dark glass bottles with a dispenser and a protective cap.

The active substance is nazarela - fluticasone propionate. It is a local corticosteroid. Fluticasone inhibits the division of mast cells and eosinophils, and also inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators. The effect comes in 5-10 minutes after the first application and lasts up to 24 hours.

Pharmacological effect

Nazarel is a glucocorticoid of local action, when used in recommended dosages it removes inflammation and excessive puffiness, shows antihistaminic properties. Anti-inflammatory effect is achieved due to the interaction of the main active substance of the drug with the special receptors of SCS.

Fluticasone is able to inhibit the proliferation of lymphocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils, macrophages, and mast cells. In this case, there is a decrease in the production and isolation of mediators of the inflammatory process, as well as other biologically active components (eg, PG, cytokines, RT, gimatine) during the early or late stage of allergy manifestation.

Antiallergic effect is observed after 2-4 hours from the date of use of the spray. This significantly reduces the sensation of itching in the nasal cavity, eliminates the manifestation of rhinitis and sneezing, the nasal passages become blocked, the general condition of the patient becomes easier. Indications for use

The instruction recommends taking Nazarel for prophylactic purposes, as well as for the treatment of a variety of allergic rhinitis (rhinitis). Drug medication can be used both for the treatment of seasonal and all-year-round allergic reactions.

Also, the use of this glucocorticosteroid in the complex treatment of sinusitis (sinusitis, frontalitis, etmoiditis and sphenoiditis), which have an allergic etiology, is allowed.

Contraindications

The use of Nazarel is absolutely contraindicated:

children up to 4 years;
patients with a personal hypersensitivity to fluticasone or secondary ingredients of the spray.

Application of Nazarel with special care is possible with:

pregnancy;
breastfeeding;
nasal injuries;
concomitant herpes;
ulcerative lesions of the nasal mucosa;

Use in pregnancy and lactation

In pregnancy, Nazarel is not recommended for use, since it is a hormonal drug. Dosage and route of administration

The instructions for use indicate that Nazarel is administered intranasally.

Adults and children 12 years of age and older are prescribed 2 doses (100 μg) in each nasal passage 1 time / day, preferably in the morning. In some cases it is necessary to administer 2 doses in each nasal passage 2 times / day (the maximum daily dose is 400 mcg). After achieving the therapeutic effect, a maintenance dose of 50 μg / day can be administered to each nasal passage (100 μg). The maximum daily dose should not exceed 400 mcg (4 doses per each nasal passage).
Children aged 4 to 12 years are prescribed 1 dose (50 μg) 1 time / day in each nasal passage, preferably in the morning. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 200 mcg in each nasal passage. It is necessary to apply the minimum dosage, which ensures effective elimination of symptoms.
Older patients do not need a dose adjustment.

To achieve full therapeutic effect the drug should be used regularly.

Terms of use

The bottle with nasal spray is equipped with a protective cap, which protects the tip from getting dust and pollution.

At the first application it is necessary to prepare the bottle by pressing the dispenser 6 times. The spraying mechanism is unlocked. If the drug has not been used for more than one week, you should again prepare the vial and unlock the spraying mechanism.

Then you need to do the following manipulations:

clean the nose;
insert the tip of the vial into the nasal passage, while closing the other nasal passage;
slightly tilt the head forward, continuing to hold vertically the aerosol bottle;
beginning to inhale through the nose, to make a single press on the mechanism of spraying;
exhale through the mouth.

In another nasal passage the drug is administered in a similar way.

After use, the tip should be soaked with a clean cloth or a handkerchief and cover it with a cap. The sprayer should be washed at least once a week. To do this, remove the tip, rinse it in warm water, dry it and then gently place it on the top of the bottle. Put the protective cap on.

When clogging the hole, the tip should be removed, immersed in warm water and left for a certain time. After that, the tip should be rinsed with running water, dried and re-put on the bottle. The hole can not be cleaned with a pin or other sharp object.
