Nalgezin

Nalgezin is a drug for symptomatic therapy with antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory action.

The mechanism of the action of the tablets is related to their ability to selectively inhibit the activity of the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme, both of the first and second types, in a nonselective manner, i.e., indiscriminately.

The need to reduce the activity of this enzyme is due to the fact that it catalyzes the process of isolation Prostanoids - biologically active substances responsible for the development of pain and inflammation. Due to this, the drug has a pronounced analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effect.

Pharmacological effect

Nalgezin has mainly analgesic effect on the human body. In addition, Nalgezin is used to provide rapid antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects. The mechanism of the drug is associated with inhibition of cyclooxygenases 1 and 2, which gives the process of inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid. Also, Nalgezin helps to suppress platelet aggregation.

Nalgezin tablets are film-coated, so they dissolve well. There is a rapid absorption of the drug from the gastrointestinal tract, which ensures the onset of an analgesic effect in a short time.

Side effects

The use of a medicament may provoke the following undesirable manifestations:

  1. Respiratory system: eosinophilic pneumonitis;
  2. Sense organs: tinnitus, hearing and vision impairment;
  3. Skin: purpura, excessive sweating, alopecia, ecchymosis, photodermatosis, itching;

  10. Other: hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, hemolytic anemia, hyperthermia, thirst.

Most often, side effects occur in the case of taking Nalgesine in high doses.

Overdose

In case of overdose with Nalgezin, the patient may experience discomfort from the following symptoms:

  • drowsiness;
  • general weakness;
  • noise in the ears;
  • irritability;
  • Dyspeptic disorders (heartburn, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain).

In severe cases, the patient may even suffer from:

  • impaired consciousness;
  • seizures;
  • bloody vomiting;
  • melena;
  • renal failure.

Treatment in case of an overdose consists in making the gastric lavage as quickly as possible and carrying out a symptomatic therapy with activated charcoal, antacids, histamine H2 receptor blockers, proton pump inhibitors. Note that hemodialysis with an overdose of Nalgezin is ineffective.

special instructions

Before you start using the drug, read the special instructions:

  1. Children aged 9 to 12 years, the drug is prescribed only by a doctor.
  2. Older patients are also recommended to administer the drug at lower doses.
  3. If pain and fever persists or becomes worse, you should consult your doctor.
  4. To reduce the risk of developing adverse events on the part of the gastrointestinal tract, a minimum effective dose should be used with the minimum possible short course.
  5. Caution should be given to patients with liver disease and kidney failure. In patients with renal insufficiency, it is necessary to control the clearance of creatinine. When QC is below 20 ml / min, naproxen is not recommended. In chronic alcoholic and other forms of cirrhosis, the concentration of unbound naproxen increases, so such patients are recommended to take the drug at lower doses.
  6. With caution and only after consulting a doctor should take the drug to patients with bronchial asthma, with violations of blood coagulability, as well as patients with increased sensitivity to other analgesics.
  7. Nalgezin should not be taken with other anti-inflammatory drugs and analgesics, except for doctor's prescriptions.
  8. You should avoid taking naproxen for 48 hours before surgery.
  9. Each Nalgezin tablet contains approximately 25 mg of sodium. This should be taken into account when observing a diet with a restriction of salt intake.
  10. If it is necessary to determine 17-corticosteroids, the drug should be discontinued 48 hours before the study. Similarly, naproxen may affect the determination of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid in the urine.

Naproxen slows the reaction rate in patients. This should be taken into account when driving a car and performing tasks that require special attention.

Drug Interactions

When using the drug, it is necessary to take into account the interaction with other drugs:

  1. Do not use the drug simultaneously with other NSAIDs (increased risk of side effects).
  2. In the treatment of anticoagulants should be borne in mind that naproxen can increase the time of bleeding.
  3. The drug Nalgezin can reduce the antihypertensive effect of propranolol and other beta-blockers, and may also increase the risk of renal failure associated with the use of ACE inhibitors.
  4. Cyclosporine with simultaneous application with naproxen increases the risk of developing kidney failure.
  5. Inhibition of renal clearance of lithium leads to an increase in the concentration of lithium in plasma.
  6. The use of probenecid increases the level of naproxen in plasma.
  7. Under the action of naproxenum, natriuretic action of furosemide is inhibited.
  8. Naproxen slows the excretion of methotrexate, phenytoin, sulfonamides, increasing the risk of developing their toxic effects.
  9. Patients simultaneously receiving hydantoins, anticoagulants or other medications that bind to a significant degree with plasma proteins, should monitor the signs of potentiation of the action or overdose of these drugs.
  10. Antacid preparations containing magnesium and aluminum reduce the absorption of naproxen.

Reviews

We picked up some reviews of people who used Nalgezin:

  1. Olga. Back pain... I live with this problem not for the first year. But, even after having tried many drugs, including nurofen and other advertised drugs, I still lost this battle for health anyway. Only when I could not stand it and came to the doctor, he wrote me a prescription for Nalgezin forte, because without a prescription it is not sold. And about a miracle - 15 minutes after the first pill was taken, the pain subsided. It was practically not there. In the evening, the second tablet was taken, in 12 hours (so long for effect) - and I'm in perfect order. Back pain is left in the memories only.
  2. Svetlana. Saw 10 days to 2 tables. after a meal, F-Kishechn diseases were never-opened intestinal bleeding. cause of admission-postherpetic poly neuropathy of the joints of the left arm, fingers of the hand. transferred generalized herpes. I am 65 years old.
  3. Nadia. I rarely complain about health, if not for one "but" - in the fall and spring for the change of weather, my joints begin to ache. If you have never encountered this pain, I sincerely wish that it has bypassed you. Well still, that recently my doctor wrote out the prescription of Nalgezin forte, which I bought at the pharmacy. Now the pack with the drug, which by the way is not so expensive, is always at my fingertips or in my purse when I'm somewhere on business. It is comparable with other anesthetics - naiz, nekst, nurofen and movalis - the effectiveness of nalgezin forte is several times higher.
