pharmachologic effect

Stellanin-PEG - ointment, which improves the regeneration of tissues, has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory activity.

The mechanism of action of the drug is due to the antibacterial property of the active iodine, which is part of the , -diethylbenzimidazolium triiodide. By inactivating the enzymatic proteins of bacteria and proteins of the bacterial wall, active iodine suppresses their synthesis. The pronounced antimicrobial action of the ointment protects wound surfaces from infection.

When treating purulent wounds, the high osmotic potential of the ointment ensures evacuation of the purulent masses to be separated from the wound defect.

Stellanin and Stellanin-PEG

Ointment is available in aluminum tubes, packaged in 20 gr. There are 2 forms of the product available on sale: Stellanin and Stellanin PEG.

Their use makes it possible to significantly shorten the recovery period for burn disease (up to 20%), and also reduces the volume of surgical intervention in autologous plastic surgery. The active chemical compound in both preparations is identical, the difference is the auxiliary components of the ointment.

  1. Stellanin PEG is used in the first phase of the wound process and for wet wounds. Due to the present osmotic (drying) effect, which is provided by additional components of the agent, there is an intensification of purification and activation of epithelization processes, and active iodine destroys the pathogenic microflora.
  2. Stellanin is original on a hydrophobic basis intended for use in clinical practice in the treatment of wounds in the third stage of the wound process, and for dry wounds. In this therapeutic form, the auxiliary ingredients strengthen the regeneration processes and exhibit minimal osmotic properties. Possessing low drying potential, the ointment during application creates favorable conditions for growth and development of granulations. Simultaneously, the activity of microorganisms remaining in the site of the injury is suppressed and the secondary infection of the wound surface is prevented.

Indications for use

In addition to domestic cuts, abrasions and scratches, Stellanin is used as a wound-healing agent that restores the structure of the skin in the most serious cases:

The duration and frequency of application depends on the severity of the disease and the localization of the process. The daily dose should not exceed 10 g. It is possible to use occlusive dressings and plaster.

In the treatment of granulating burns, wounds and trophic ulcers with mild exudation, the preparation is applied with a uniform layer of thickness 1-1.5 mm in such a way that the entire affected area is covered with ointment and a sterile gauze bandage is applied. Change dressings are carried out 1 time in 1-2 days in the treatment of burns and 1-2 times / day in the treatment of wounds and trophic ulcers. With the open method of treating burns, the drug is applied 1-2 times / day. The duration of treatment is determined by the dynamics of epithelialization of wounds.

For minor skin lesions (abrasions, cuts, scratches, cracks, scratching), the drug is applied a thin layer on the affected surface 2 times / day.

Reviews

We offer you to read reviews of people who used Stellanin ointment:

  1. Ilya. All hello, was at sea stepped on the sea urchin, pulled out incorrectly, the wound without visible damage was very sick, it hurt to attack, inside the cone and a slight tuberosity on the foot that only did not do not help, learned about stellanin on the Internet, decided to try, most importantly, that it attracted our Russian manufacturer, Mr. Azov, there are no analogues, well, I'll say at once I was very surprised by the result, I immediately squeezed out all the pus in the upper layers of the skin about which I could not think, day, the inflammation subsided, ointment really helps, I do not know what they say, they say in Moscow the chicken is milked, but Stellanin is very effective ointment, I recommend it to everyone !!!
  2. Michael. Stellanin (ointment) was applied based on feedback on the network. Treated trophic ulcers on the right foot in the area a little less than the palm in the initial stage (a dozen two itchy and bleeding tubercles, the size of a small coin). I did not believe in success, but it took two weeks and everything healed and did not itch, but I do not dare to walk in shorts-a bright spot on my skin is very noticeable. Minus: the puff of the ointment is not the most pleasant. In meditation: -varicosis at me started, probably it is necessary to repeat a course. Unsubscribe from someone who has this experience.
  3. Serey. Stellanin bought for the treatment of a burn. I do not understand how this ointment can be used. It is very thick. Spread on the bandage is very difficult. It was not always possible to make sure that the medicine did not get on the healthy skin. The result is a chemical burn of the edge of the wound. Stellanin is very expensive for such inconvenience. I will never buy it again. I do not advise acquaintances.
