Indications for use

Contraindications

According to instructions, Trittico can not be used in such cases:

  • in the presence of high sensitivity to the components included in the preparation;
  • lactation and pregnancy.

Dosage and route of administration

Recommended dosing Trittico:

  • depression with and without anxiety: the initial dose is 100 mg once before bedtime. After three days of therapy, the dose can be increased to 150 mg. Further, until the optimal clinical effect is reached, the dose should be increased by 50 mg every 3-4 days. If the daily dose exceeds 150 mg, then it should be divided into 2 receptions: after dinner, a smaller dose is taken, before bedtime - the main one. The maximum daily dose: for outpatients - 450 mg, for patients in the hospital - 600 mg;
  • treatment of impotence: monotherapy - more than 200 mg per day, as part of combination therapy - 50 mg per day;
  • treatment of libido disorders: 50 mg per day;
  • benzodiazepine dependence: according to the scheme, which involves a simultaneous reduction of the dose of benzodiazepine by 1/4 or 1/2 tablets and an increase of 50 mg of trazodone, are taken within 21 days. Then continue to gradually reduce the dose of benzodiazepines, each time increasing the dose of trazodone. After the complete abolition of benzodiazepine, a daily dose of trazodone is lowered by 50 mg with an interval of 21 days.

The initial dose of Trittico for attenuated and elderly patients should not exceed 100 mg per day. It is selected individually and prescribed once before bedtime or divided into two doses. The dose should be increased under the supervision of the doctor, taking into account the effectiveness and tolerability of the drug. For this category of patients it is not recommended to exceed the maximum daily dose of 300 mg.

For children aged 6 to 18 years, the dose is determined taking into account the weight of the child at a rate of 1.5-2 mg per 1 kg of body weight per day and divide it into several receptions. To achieve the desired therapeutic effect, the initial dose of Trittico can be gradually increased, observing the interval of 3-4 days. The maximum daily dose for children should not exceed 6 mg per 1 kg of body weight.

Side effects

During the reception of the Trittico tablets, patients may develop some side effects:

  • on the part of the organs of the digestive system - dry mouth, thirst, pain in the stomach, nausea, intestinal atony, a feeling of heaviness in the abdomen, bloating and flatulence, stool retention, constipation, in severe cases, intestinal obstruction;

Overdose

In case of an overdose, the following symptoms are noted:

  • tachycardia;
  • hypotension;
  • hyponatremia;
  • drowsiness;
  • dizziness;
  • vomiting;
  • nausea;

  • convulsivity.

In cases of severe overdose, a coma develops. Symptomatic complex from the heart may include bradycardia and tachycardia. Symptoms may appear within 24 hours after an overdose and later. Simultaneous use with other antidepressants is dangerous development of serotonin syndrome.
