Pharmacological effect
Amizon is a derivative of isonicotinic acid, belongs to the group of non-narcotic analgesics, it has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic effect and immunomodulating interferonogenic effect.
- The antipyretic properties of Amizon are due to the effect on the thermoregulatory centers of the intermediate brain. The analgesic effect of Amizon occurs through the reticular formation of the brainstem.
- The effect of Amizon as an immunomodulator is manifested by an increase in humoral (an increase in antibody titer and endogenous interferon in blood plasma by 3-4 times), cellular (stimulation functional activity of T-lymphocytes and macrophages) of immunity, as well as in the effect on factors of natural anti-infective resistance (lysozyme level). The drug is an active oral inducer of endogenous interferon.
- Anti-inflammatory effect is the result of stabilization of cell and lysosomal membranes, inhibition of basophil degranulation, antioxidant action, normalization of the level of prostaglandins, cyclic nucleotides and energy metabolism in the inflammatory focus, as well as weakening of vascular responses.
Amizon has no hemo- and nephrotoxic properties, it does not adversely affect the blood picture, bone marrow hematopoiesis and the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract. The drug does not have a local irritant effect, allergic properties, embryotoxic, mutagenic and teratogenic effects.
Indications for use

The instructions for use indicate that Amizon is taken orally after a meal, without chewing.
The maximum single dose is 1 g, the daily dose is 2 g. When meningoencephalitis - 0.25 g 3 times a day for 10 days. In complex therapy of viral hepatitis - 0.25 g 3 times a day for the first 5 days of the disease.
