Microsporia of skin and hair in humans is a common infectious disease in children and adults, in people microsporia is called " ringworm ", or trichophytosis . The cause of microsporia is the introduction into the skin of fungi of the genus Microsporum .This fungal infection is very contagious - contagious.
Therefore, microsporia in a child is a common phenomenon, as small children do not particularly care for personal hygiene. For lichen is characterized by seasonality - the peak incidence falls on summer and autumn. In 80% of cases, fungus infection occurs from cats and dogs, in 20% - from sick people.
In this article we will consider the symptoms, treatment of microsporia, or depriving, at home, folk remedies and medical preparations and medicines from microsporia and from lichen.

Symptoms and signs of microsporia-depriving
Contribute to infection by fungi microtrauma, through which the microsporum penetrates into the skin. The fungus is first introduced into the horny layer of the skin, then into the hair;Fingernails are not striking.
The time from the onset of infection to the first manifestations of the disease( incubation period) is from 5 days to 2 months, depending on the variety of the fungus.
The disease begins with the appearance on the smooth skin of inflamed round spots, with a roller of merged small nodules, vesicles and crusts on the periphery. Foci on the skin can have the appearance of several rings, inscribed into each other. On the head, foci are usually multiple, without visible inflammatory phenomena, with a tendency to fusion. After the confluence, two or three large rounded, scaly foci with distinct borders and highly broken hair are formed on the head.
For all types of microsporia, the hair breaks off at a height of 4-8 mm above the skin level and is shrouded in a whitish-gray cover. Loss of eyebrows and eyelashes is often observed.
The infiltrative-suppurative form of microsporia is very rare.

How to treat lichen: drugs, microsporia preparations
For the treatment of patients with microsporia, two systemic antimycotics are used: Griseofulvin and Lamisil.
Moreover, antimycotics are used in patients with microsporia in high doses, since the pathogen of microsporia is the most resistant among fungi-dermatophytes. Therefore, the daily dose of Griseofulvin,( equal to 16 mg / kg in patients with rubrophyte, and 18 mg / kg of trichophytosis) was increased to 22 mg / kg with microsporia.
Griseofulvin is a chlorine-containing antibiotic, a product of the biosynthesis of mold fungi of the genus Penicillium. The daily dose of Griseofulvin( 22 mg per kilogram of body weight) is divided into three to four equal parts and is taken with one teaspoon of vegetable oil. The oil stimulates the evacuation of bile and promotes the dissolution of griseofulvin. In addition, due to the presence in it of vitamin E( α-tocopherol), the metabolism of Griseofulvin slows down and the duration of its action increases.
Griseofulvin is better absorbed in an acidic environment, so it is advisable to drink it with some sour juice( cranberry, cranberry, lemon, apple, etc.).
To reduce the toxicity of Griseofulvin it is recommended to take it with hepatoprotectors - hepatic charges, Liv-52, Karsil, Silibor, etc.
The course of continuous treatment with griseofulvin lasts 1.5-2 months.
First, it is used daily until two negative fungal assays are obtained at intervals of seven days;then the antibiotic is used two weeks every other day and two more weeks twice a week.
After the therapy, a follow-up examination is performed, and in case of negative results the patient is considered cured. Although Griseofulvin is a sparing drug, it still has hepato-, nephro- and neurotoxicity, photosensitizing, embryotoxic and carcinogenic properties.
Griseofulvin is contraindicated in with:
- hepatitis, not more than one year old and exhibited subjective sensations and / or elevated levels of bilirubin and hepatic enzymes;
- peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum;
- kidney disease;
- neuritis, especially the visual and auditory nerves;
- malignant and fast-growing benign tumors;
- blood diseases;
- photodermatoses and related conditions;
- cerebrovascular accident;
- uterine and other bleeding.
It should be taken into account that the dose of Griseofulvin in patients with microsporia should not exceed the maximum allowable value of 1.0 g( 8 tablets).
Otherwise, the toxic and allergic properties of the antibiotic are manifested. In adults and large children with a body weight of more than 60 kg, the appointment of an adequate dose of the drug is practically not possible.
A worthy alternative to Griseofulvin is Lamisil.
Preparation Lamisil has a high activity against various species of fungi. Particularly, it is active against fungi-dermatophytes, the causative agents of the most common dermatophytosis: adult rubrophytia and microsporia in children. Lamisil does not require any specific reception conditions, it is quickly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. His blood level is stable.
The drug is prescribed in a daily dose of 7 mg / kg or two tablets( 500 mg) per day. In the next three to four weeks, there is usually a complete destruction of the foci of microsporia in all patients without exception. Begin to grow healthy hair where cicatricial atrophy did not develop, microsporides, including focal nodular erythema of the shins, were simultaneously allowed to become painless and the regional lymph nodes diminished in size.
The effectiveness of treatment of patients with microsporia increases with simultaneous use of systemic antimycotics and external agents.
Along with depilation and weekly shaving of hair, is used with a 2% tincture of iodine, which lubricates foci of mycosis in the morning. In the evenings, domestic antifungal ointments are rubbed in them: sernosalicylic, sulfuric, sulfur tar, bifosin. Such iodine-ointment treatment is highly effective at cheapness and availability.
In relatively quiet foci of microsporia, it is advisable to lubricate them once a day with 10% salicylic-quinizol Dimexide, , which rapidly enough leads to the destruction of foci of mycosis on the scalp.
In case of infiltrative-suppuration microsporia, compressions with 10-20% solutions of Ichthyol, 5% solution of mummy in Dimexide, a 50% solution of licorice root, as well as lotion from 0, are applied to release foci of mycosis from crusts and pus.5-1% solutions of Chlorhexidine Bigluconate( Gibitana) or ultrasonic irrigation with a 0.5% solution of this drug using Ross apparatus.
As external antimycotics, it is possible to use effective foreign azole and allylamine compounds. Among them, we give preference to 1% lamilic cream, 1% cream of mycospores and 1% cream of Travogen. These drugs, as a rule, are well tolerated, because they have anti-inflammatory properties. With acute inflammatory phenomena, their combination with corticosteroid agents is not required. At the same time, they have a pronounced antifungal activity, and lamizil cream is also an antibacterial action, which is important for sanitizing foci of microsporia complicated by secondary pyococcal flora.
The inclusion of external antifungal agents in a complex of therapeutic measures in patients with microsporia allows to achieve a quick recovery at the lowest exchange rate of expensive and not indifferent to the body systemic antimycotics.
