pharmachologic effect

Medicinal preparation Spazmalgon is an antispasmodic medication with pronounced analgesic and antipyretic properties. A wide range of pharmacological activities is due to the combined composition of the drug.

  1. Pitophenone hydrochloride is a derivative of piperidine. Has myotropic spasmolytic activity. The substance has a papaverin-like effect, reducing the tone of the smooth muscles in parallel relaxing it. It provokes the elimination of painful sensations against the background of a spasm of the smooth muscle of the internal organs.
  2. Metamizole sodium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent that is a derivative of pyrazolone. The substance has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic effect. The mechanism of action of metamizole is to inhibit the activity of both isoforms of cyclooxygenase, thereby decreasing the production of prostaglandins, thromboxane and prostacyclin.
  3. Fenpiverinia bromide belongs to the group of m-holinoretseptor blockers. Also has a pronounced antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of the internal organs, and also reduces the degree of motility of the intestines and stomach, lowers the tone and relaxes the musculature of the bile-excreting and urinary tract.

The combination of the three active components stops pain for 15-40 minutes. Penetration by the parenteral route is faster than oral administration. The therapeutic maximum relief of pain occurs within 1-1.5 hours. The analgesic effect gradually decreases with time, completely eliminated after 6-10 hours. Its duration depends on the sensitivity of the patient, the condition of the liver.
