Description of the preparation

Midimax is an ophthalmic preparation of local action that promotes the dilatation of the pupils.It is a clear liquid, it can be colorless or brownish-yellow. The main active ingredient are finylephrine hydrochloride and tropicamide. Additional constituents of the solution substance:

  • Benzalkonium chloride;
  • Hypromellose;
  • Sodium metabisulfide;
  • Sodium hydroxide;
  • Hydrochloric acid;
  • Water for injections.

Produced in 5 ml vials with a dropper, packed in cardboard boxes.

Midrimax eye drops are not intended for self-administration. It is dispensed in a pharmacy under the prescription of a doctor.

Before carrying out the diagnostic study or treatment, as a rule, one drop is injected into the conjunctival sac 15 to 30 minutes before the procedure. For therapeutic purposes, 2 drops are added to each eye, up to 6 times a day. After instillation it is recommended to easily apply pressure to the conjunctival sac.
