nephrosis

can be represented as three variants of the disease - febrile albuminuria, sublimate nekronefroz and post-transfusion nekronefroz.

Chronic nephrosis

Most often develops as a result of permanent and long-acting body poisoning. This can occur with tuberculosis, syphilis, malaria or chronic poisoning with various substances( arsenic, mercury, etc.).

In chronic nephrosis, fatty degeneration of the renal tissue - lipoid nephrosis usually occurs, as a result of which the working tissue of the kidneys is replaced by a non-working fat tissue. Of course, the kidneys cease to function in normal mode, and later completely stop their work.

In patients with chronic lipid nephrosis, patients most often complain of significant swelling and a constant presence of protein in the urine in laboratory tests. As a rule, blood pressure does not increase, there is no blood in the urine.

The disease begins with the appearance of a puffiness of the face( first in the morning, then this phenomenon becomes permanent).Gradually, edema increases and spreads throughout the body. Especially a lot of fluid accumulates in the lower abdomen and lower limbs. The genitals swell, making urination difficult. Edema fluid accumulates in the thoracic and abdominal cavities, making breathing difficult. Sometimes the swelling is so great that the skin on the cheeks bursts and through the wounds a clear liquid oozes.

Patients quickly weaken, they are concerned with headaches, shortness of breath, palpitations. Urine is a murky color, patients complain of persistent diarrhea.

Chronic nephrosis can last for many years with frequent periods of improvement and deterioration. Recovery is rare. Since with the liquid the body loses a large amount of protein, the patients weaken, their resistance to infections is significantly reduced, and therefore they die most often from accidentally joined infection.
